CLICK THIS SCHOLARSHIP APP BUTTON TO APPLY FOR THE OTLPA JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIP -- any time of the year!!
Apply now for 2011 ! Deadline is June 26th.
Junior Over-The-Line is a 3-player softball type game played in the sand or grass.
The play area is marked out using rope which is staked into the ground in a triangle and rectangle pattern (see Official Rules page for diagram).
Each team pitches to its own players.* You must hit a softball type ball over the "Line" to effect a "hit". After 3 hits, you have a run. There is no running of the "bases". (*Pee-Wees can hit off a "Tee".)
Each event has volunteers who will teach the participants how to play the game and explain the rules of the sport.
Tournaments are held 5-6 times per year at various sites in San Diego, CA.
Good sportsmanship and appropriate conduct are required at these events. Censorship of team names is at the discretion of the "Tournament Committee".
"Everyone plays" concept.
THIS PROGRAM IS SUPPORTED BY A GRANT FROM OLD MISSION BEACH ATHLETIC CLUB

PLEASE NOTE: Starting in 2008, Junior Boys 15-20 now have to have wood bats, as per OMBAC rules. If you need a reasonably priced, well- made, official little league or official softball wood bat, go to www.bpsports.biz . Soon, schools and little leagues will be moving to wood bats also for safety reasons.
